In the summer of 2009, the EC launched its new internship program. Both Sam and Andrea have been campus ministry leaders as undergrads and are excited to have the opportunity to recieve in-depth, hands-on training to further their gifts of evangelization.

During the 2009-2010 school year, the interns have been working at the UW-Madison alongside campus ministry staff at St. Paul’s. They are leading small groups, providing one-on-one mentoring for undergraduate students, and working on national ministry projects with the EC Staff. The EC has been leading their formation so that they learn proven ministry skills and grow in leadership and professional skills.

For the second year of their internship, Sam and Andrea will return to their alma maters to work in campus ministry. The EC staff will continue to provide mentoring and guidance to them remotely, visiting their campuses at least twice during the year to provide support.

Consulting

Sometimes a ministry wants more support than a one-time workshop or retreat. In these instances, we determine, in conversation with them, what their needs are and how we can support them through ongoing consultation. Here are some of the campus ministries with which we have had such a relationship.

Partnerships

From our work with existing campus ministries, we often establish consulting relationships, in which we offer ongoing support to staff working to implement the EC Ministry model. Campuses with whom we have had consulting relationships include Duke, Florida State, Harvard, Niagra University, Sand Diego State, U of Dayton, UNC-Chapel Hill, UW-Green Bay, UW-Madison, and UW-Oshkosh.

When a campus ministry wants more direct help, The Evangelical Catholic forms a partnership with them. In this type of relationship, someone formed and trained by the EC goes on staff to assist in the implementation of EC ministry. Currently, we have partnerships with UW-Madison and San Diego State University.
