Developing a Culture of Personal Prayer

Conference Call Training on March 21, 2011

We hear it all the time. “I’m too busy to pray….” “I just don’t have time to pray…” “I forgot…”

In order for students to grow in their relationship with Christ, it is essential that they come before the Lord in prayer every day. However, many students and campus ministers fall into the “Martha” trap of believing that if they are busy, they are becoming holy. In order to hear the voice of the Lord in their lives, students need to cultivate a docile spirit which comes through daily prayer. As a ministry leader, you can provide them with the tools that they need to be able to develop a deep desire to sit like Mary at the feet of Jesus every day.
