Help Your Students Enter More Deeply Into the Seasons of Advent and Christmas!

Conference Call Training on November 9, 2011

Tim O’Malley, Director of Notre Dame’s Center for Liturgy, partners with the Evangelical Catholic on this and forthcoming Virtual Institute trainings to provide depth in sacramental formation and ideas for connecting liturgy and evangelization. The lex orandi lex credendi formula teaches the interdependence between how we pray and what we believe. What we believe and pray drastically impacts the way we evangelize. In our work the EC has noticed a strong correlation between a robust understanding of the liturgy and sacraments and joyful, fruitful evangelization.

In our ministry work we sometimes find ourselves in a teaching/formation rut as we try to draw Catholics deeper into the spiritual life through the liturgy and the seasons of the church year. New insights into the purpose and language of seasonal prayers can help us form our students for a more spiritually expansive experience of the Mass this Advent.
